Our Story
Designed in California. Built from the Bay.
Nokwal started on September 20, 2015, in Santa Clara, California. Founder and designer Aman Nokwal, a self-taught Bay Area native, set out to make menswear that carried the energy of the Bay's hip-hop culture with the finish of a high-end label. The idea was simple: statement pieces, made well, that don't need to cost a fortune.
That first year set the tone. Our embroidery made its debut on the Skull Bomber Jacket in 2015, and detail has been the signature ever since: hand-selected fabrics, quality hardware, and finishing touches you notice up close.
What we make
Nokwal is streetwear with an upscale edge, built around a few things we do best:
- Denim. Waxed, selvedge, carpenter, flare, baggy and stacked fits, with custom details and embellishments that make each pair stand out.
- Monogram and graphic tops. From rhinestone-drilled monogram tees to vintage-washed graphics, designed to be the centerpiece of a fit.
- Statement pieces. Vegan leather, embroidery and outerwear made for nights out and everyday wear alike.
Over the years, Nokwal has been worn by artists and athletes on stage, in music videos and in their everyday lives. We still design every piece with the same question: would we wear this ourselves?
